Mother's Voices is a booklet for women that presents highlights from the results of the Maternity Experiences Survey (MES), along with selected research and recommendations regarding pregnancy and childbirth.
The MES was a national survey of Canadian women’s experiences, perceptions, knowledge and practices before conception and during pregnancy, birth and the early months of parenthood.
The MES was developed and implemented by the Public Health Agency of Canada in collaboration with Statistics Canada.
The booklet and related resources are also available in French.
